Blend means mixing like we are grinding two different materials with different tastes and the mixture is having a taste of both the things mixed. Similarly, Here we are mixing sounds of two different consonant letters. Helpful in reading and then in our conversation.

Blends are those words when two consonants mix each other and develop a new sound is called blend. The result is having the sound of both letters but mixed and the new one. W e are merging two sounds.

There are mainly two types of blends:

Initial Blends- If any blend comes at first means at the start of the word is called initial blend. The word begins with a blending sound.

Terminal Blends- If any blend comes at last means the word ends with the blending sound is called terminal blends.
