WISH RAKSHA BANDHAN IMAGE

Rakhsha Bandhan is celebrated in Shravan Month of Hindus on full moon day (Purnima). This festival is the symbol of the Love of a brother for his sister. This festival is celebrated in India for a long time, on this day Sister ties a knot of care and protection by using beautiful Rakhies on the right-hand wrist of her brother and Pray from god to keep her brother away from evil and bless her to a long healthy life.

HISTORY

Draupadi Vashtra Haran Image

There are lots of stories of different gods of Hindu behind this Raksha Bandhan celebration. Let's choose a famous one.
This is the story of Lord Krishna and Draupadi (wife of pandwa's).
One day Lord Krishna was handling a bunch of sugarcane and cut his little finger and when the wife of Krishna, Queen Rukmani saw his finger bleeding, She sends an official person to get his finger bandage and to provide help.

Draupadi was there watching all the whole incident standing there. She quickly tore the small part of her saree and tied on the finger/hand of Lord Krishna. That day Lord Krishna promised to help Draupadi, whenever she needs help he would be there to protect and help her. He considers him as her brother.

And when Draupadi Cheer Haran was going in front of kaurwas by Duryodhana and she was completely helpless because she is not getting any help by pandawas. As pandawas are bounded by promises. So, Draupadi asks Lord Krishna for help by joining her hands and taking his names again and again and Lord Krishna appeared and he helped her by making her saree never-ending when Duryodhana was trying to unwrap Draupadi's saare from her body and trying to embarrass her in front of many people but Lord Krishna saved her from embarrassment.

Draupadi was very thankful to Lord Krishna to save her from a big problem. Trust remains constant to get help from Lord Krishna.

From that day every sister used to tie up a rakhi on her brother's hand and brother have to take an oath to protect her from all the problems in her life.

This festival is meant to show the love and affection between siblings. The Sister ties up rakhi on her brother's hand and gives him sweets to eat and do Arti also. In return, their brother gives her a gift to make her happy.
He also promises her sister to be respectful and protective towards her throughout life.

Brother Carry her sister on his back

This relationship is so cute and adorable, with lots of fights and love combo. Both are so attached and having caring feelings for each other. So, possessive also. No matter how much they fight or quarrel but they are having a feeling of mine. This means he is mine or she is mine.

But during this COVID 19 many of the brothers are not able to reach their sister to celebrate this festival together. So, many of the sisters can send Rakhi to their brothers but sure they will miss the joy. But safety is the priority.

HAPPY RAKSHA BANDHAN
